Historical MightyForms plans as listed on mightyforms.com; monthly billing shown, annual billing was discounted ~20%. Stripe/PayPal payments carried a 1% MightyForms fee on top of processor fees. New signups should start on FormBuilder.
How the pricing compares. The two free plans look similar on paper — MightyForms allowed 2 forms and 100 submissions a month, FormBuilder allows 5 forms and 100 responses a month — but they behave differently at the cap. MightyForms counted abandoned partial submissions against the same quota and stopped at the limit; FormBuilder holds any responses past 100 and unlocks them when you upgrade, so a busy month never costs you a lead. On paid plans FormBuilder Pro is $39 a month for 100 forms and 10,000 responses with branding removed and webhooks included. To get comparable form and submission volume on MightyForms you needed Business at $299 a month, and even Starter ($19) capped you at 10 forms and 1,000 submissions. MightyForms did bundle Stripe and PayPal on every tier with a 1% platform fee; FormBuilder has a native Stripe payment field on every plan with no platform fee, but no PayPal yet.

Making the call

How to choose

Our take

If you are an existing MightyForms customer with working forms, payments and automations, keep using them — the app is still available and nothing is being forced on you. For anything new, choose FormBuilder: it is where the MightyForms templates and resources now live, it adds an AI generator, held responses and 6,000+ Zapier apps, and its $39 Pro plan covers far more forms and responses than any MightyForms tier short of Business. MightyForms deserves credit for abandoned-form recovery and built-in payments; those are the two things to plan around when you move.

FSwitch to FormBuilder if…

  • You are creating a new form — it is the recommended home going forward
  • You want AI to draft the form from a sentence
  • You want 100 forms, 10,000 responses, branding removed and webhooks for $39
  • You want over-limit responses held rather than dropped

MStay on MightyForms if…

  • You already run forms on MightyForms and they work — there is no forced migration
  • You depend on partial-submission recovery emails for lead capture today
  • You need native Stripe / PayPal checkout inside the form with no extra setup
  • You are not ready to rebuild automations right now

Switching

Moving off MightyForms in four steps

Export your submissions

In the MightyForms app, open each form's submissions and export to CSV (or PDF for individual records). Keep these as your archive — they will not be moved for you.

Recreate the form with AI

Paste your MightyForms field list into FormBuilder's AI generator; it drafts the fields, types and required flags. Add logic, pages, signature and file-upload fields in the editor.

Rebuild notifications and integrations

Set up email notifications and autoresponders in FormBuilder, then reconnect Sheets or your CRM through Zapier (6,000+ apps) or webhooks, and connect your Stripe account in Settings → Payments so payment fields charge you directly.

Swap the embed and retire the old form

Replace the MightyForms embed or link with your FormBuilder one, test a submission end to end, then close the MightyForms form so you are not collecting in two places.

FormBuilder acquired MightyForms in May 2026, but accounts, forms, submissions and billing are not migrated automatically — your MightyForms login keeps working at app.mightyforms.com. When you are ready to move a form, export your data from MightyForms and recreate the form in FormBuilder; the AI generator makes this a few minutes per form. If you are unsure which product fits your account, contact FormBuilder support.

Questions

MightyForms alternatives: frequently asked

What is the best alternative to MightyForms?

For most business forms, FormBuilder is the strongest MightyForms alternative: an AI generator that drafts forms from a sentence, a drag-and-drop editor with logic and multi-page layouts, 100 free responses a month with overflow held rather than lost, and a $39 Pro plan for 10,000 responses with branding removed.

What is the best free alternative to MightyForms?

MightyForms's free tier is 2 forms · 100 submissions / mo · 1,000 views / mo · 3 logic rules per form · mightyforms branding. FormBuilder's free plan gives you 5 active forms and 100 responses a month, with email notifications, CSV export, embedding and the AI generator included. If you outgrow it, responses are held — the form keeps working while you decide.

Why do people switch away from MightyForms?

The reasons we hear most: mightyForms was acquired by FormBuilder and new development is happening on FormBuilder; no AI form generation — every form built field by field; paid tiers capped at 10 forms / 1,000 submissions until the $299 Business plan; partial submissions counting against your monthly quota; wanting held responses and 6,000+ Zapier apps at $39 a month.

Can I move my MightyForms forms and data to FormBuilder?

FormBuilder acquired MightyForms in May 2026, but accounts, forms, submissions and billing are not migrated automatically — your MightyForms login keeps working at app.mightyforms.com. When you are ready to move a form, export your data from MightyForms and recreate the form in FormBuilder; the AI generator makes this a few minutes per form. If you are unsure which product fits your account, contact FormBuilder support.

What happened to MightyForms?

MightyForms was acquired by FormBuilder in May 2026. The MightyForms app remains available for existing customers at its existing login, while FormBuilder.com has become the home for the MightyForms templates and resources and is the recommended place to build new forms.

Can I still log in to MightyForms?

Yes. Existing MightyForms customers keep signing in through the MightyForms app at app.mightyforms.com. Nothing about your account, forms, submissions or billing has been changed or moved automatically.

Will my MightyForms forms be migrated to FormBuilder automatically?

No. Accounts, forms, submissions and billing are not being auto-migrated. If that ever changes, FormBuilder will communicate it directly with a clear migration path. Until then, moving is a manual export-and-recreate process, and FormBuilder's AI generator makes rebuilding a form quick.

Is FormBuilder a good alternative to MightyForms?

Yes — it is the successor product. FormBuilder offers a drag-and-drop and AI-assisted builder, conditional logic, multi-page forms, file uploads, signatures, webhooks and 6,000+ Zapier integrations, with a free plan of 100 responses a month and a $39 Pro plan for 100 forms and 10,000 responses.
