The drag-and-drop form builder known for abandoned-form recovery and partial submissions — now part of FormBuilder. Here's how it stacks up against FormBuilder on pricing, features, and fit — so you can pick the right tool for the forms you actually build.
100 responses / month free · No credit card · Held responses never lost
The short answer
If you are an existing MightyForms customer with working forms, payments and automations, keep using them — the app is still available and nothing is being forced on you. For anything new, choose FormBuilder: it is where the MightyForms templates and resources now live, it adds an AI generator, held responses and 6,000+ Zapier apps, and its $39 Pro plan covers far more forms and responses than any MightyForms tier short of Business. MightyForms deserves credit for abandoned-form recovery and built-in payments; those are the two things to plan around when you move.
Overview
MightyForms is a drag-and-drop online form builder aimed at small businesses that needed lead-capture, intake, order and registration forms without writing code. Its signature idea was that a form should never lose a lead: every keystroke was saved as a partial submission, abandoned forms could be recovered with automated follow-up emails, and respondents could resume where they left off. Stripe and PayPal payments, autoresponders, email/SMS notifications, PDF export and Zapier connectivity rounded out the product.
In May 2026 FormBuilder acquired MightyForms. The MightyForms app remains available at its existing login for current customers, and nothing about existing accounts, forms, submissions or billing has been moved automatically. FormBuilder.com is now the home for the MightyForms public templates and educational resources, and it is where we recommend building new forms.
This page exists because a lot of people still search for "MightyForms vs" and "MightyForms alternative". Below is an honest side-by-side of the two products, what MightyForms did well, where FormBuilder goes further, and how to move a MightyForms form over when you are ready — because that move is not automatic.
FormBuilder is an AI-first form builder with a generous free plan, held (never lost) responses, and 6,000+ integrations. You describe the form you need, the AI generator drafts it, and you refine it in a drag-and-drop editor with conditional logic, multi-page layouts, file uploads, signatures and calculations. Every response can be routed to 6,000+ apps through Zapier or webhooks. The free plan includes 100 responses a month — and if a form gets busier than that, the extra responses are held safely rather than rejected, unlocking the moment you upgrade to Pro ($39 / month for 10,000 responses).
Pricing
Side by side, in each vendor's own terms. MightyForms pricing was checked on 2026-08-17 and may change; FormBuilder pricing is current.

Honest assessment
A fair read of both sides. If the strengths column describes your work, MightyForms may genuinely be the better fit.
MightyForms saved every keystroke as a partial submission and let you email respondents to finish. For lead-gen forms this genuinely recovered leads other builders silently lost, and it was available even on the free plan.
Stripe and PayPal worked out of the box on Free, with a straightforward 1% platform fee. Simple order forms and deposits needed no third-party glue.
Autoresponders, email and SMS notifications, PDF copies of submissions, redirects and referral-URL tracking covered the everyday small-business workflow without add-ons.
A conventional drag-and-drop editor with unlimited fields, Google address autocomplete and reCAPTCHA v3 — easy to learn and quick for dense intake and registration forms.
Following the acquisition the MightyForms app is maintained for existing customers, but new templates, resources and product development are landing on FormBuilder. New forms should start there.
Every form had to be assembled field by field. FormBuilder drafts a complete form from a one-sentence prompt, then lets you refine it in the editor.
Starter at $19 covered only 10 forms and 1,000 submissions; matching FormBuilder Pro's 100 forms and 10,000 responses required the $299 Business plan.
Abandoned submissions counted toward the monthly limit, so a high-traffic form could hit the cap on incomplete entries — and once capped, new submissions stopped.
Switching
Most teams migrate a handful of forms in an afternoon. Here's the practical path.
In the MightyForms app, open each form's submissions and export to CSV (or PDF for individual records). Keep these as your archive — they will not be moved for you.
Paste your MightyForms field list into FormBuilder's AI generator; it drafts the fields, types and required flags. Add logic, pages, signature and file-upload fields in the editor.
Set up email notifications and autoresponders in FormBuilder, then reconnect Sheets or your CRM through Zapier (6,000+ apps) or webhooks, and connect your Stripe account in Settings → Payments so payment fields charge you directly.
Replace the MightyForms embed or link with your FormBuilder one, test a submission end to end, then close the MightyForms form so you are not collecting in two places.
Questions
MightyForms was acquired by FormBuilder in May 2026. The MightyForms app remains available for existing customers at its existing login, while FormBuilder.com has become the home for the MightyForms templates and resources and is the recommended place to build new forms.
Yes. Existing MightyForms customers keep signing in through the MightyForms app at app.mightyforms.com. Nothing about your account, forms, submissions or billing has been changed or moved automatically.
No. Accounts, forms, submissions and billing are not being auto-migrated. If that ever changes, FormBuilder will communicate it directly with a clear migration path. Until then, moving is a manual export-and-recreate process, and FormBuilder's AI generator makes rebuilding a form quick.
Yes — it is the successor product. FormBuilder offers a drag-and-drop and AI-assisted builder, conditional logic, multi-page forms, file uploads, signatures, webhooks and 6,000+ Zapier integrations, with a free plan of 100 responses a month and a $39 Pro plan for 100 forms and 10,000 responses.
MightyForms was free for 2 forms and 100 submissions a month, then $19 (Starter, 10 forms / 1,000 submissions), $69 (Pro, 25 forms / 5,000) and $299 (Business, 100 forms / 25,000) per month, with annual billing about 20% less. FormBuilder is free for 3 forms and 100 responses a month and $39 a month for 100 forms and 10,000 responses with branding removed.
Not in the same keystroke-by-keystroke form. FormBuilder's equivalent safety net is held responses: when a form goes over your plan's monthly limit the submissions are kept, not rejected, and unlock when you upgrade. FormBuilder also has built-in view and drop-off analytics so you can see where respondents leave.
MightyForms had native Stripe and PayPal fields with a 1% platform fee. FormBuilder has a native Payment field backed by Stripe Checkout: connect your own Stripe account once in Settings → Payments and the money goes straight to you with no platform fee (Stripe's processing fee still applies). PayPal isn't supported natively yet.
In the MightyForms app, open a form's submissions and export them as CSV (or individual PDFs). Do this for each form you care about, then recreate the form in FormBuilder by pasting the field list into the AI generator and reconnecting your integrations.
